AI takes the admin work, not the judgment
Four people. Four trades. Twelve days. None of them talked to each other, and they all drew the same line in the same place.
A communications agency automates what its COO calls the admin, low-judgment work, and does it first. A commercial real estate CEO names his version outright: middle and back office, pencil pushing, which is precisely why it can be automated. A veterinarian hands her clinical notes to an AI scribe so there is more room for the conversation with the client, not less.
The administrative layer goes. The judgment layer stays.
What the first three describe, the fourth explains. Ed Sim has watched hundreds of companies try this, and his answer is not a technology decision at all.
"It's people inside the organization that understand their particular process the best. And if they're not involved using AI, then they're not going to solve these problems."
The people who run the process are the ones who know how to hand it over.
